NoPing is a simple, but effective tool to get rid of Ping in iTunes 10. If you aren’t a fan of social networks, this is the right app for you. With a few clicks you are able to disable Ping completely from iTunes 10. In addition, the new version makes it possible to bring the good old Genius sidebar back.
NoPing is free and needs at least Mac OS X 10.4 and iTunes 10.1.

Mit NoPing ist es möglich, Ping komplett aus iTunes zu entfernen und das nur mit wenigen Klicks. Die neue Version kann zudem die gute alte Genius Seitenleiste wiederherstellen. Und natürlich kann alles jederzeit wieder rückgängig gemacht werden.
NoPing ist kostenlos und benötigt mindestens Mac OS X 10.4 und iTunes 10.1.
Falls du NoPing magst, würde ich mich sehr über eine kleine Spende freuen.

The buttons should read „Hide Ping” and „Show Ping”, not „hide Ping” and „show Ping”.Yea, you're right – but its a simple application to disable stupid Ping – for such a simple program, there's no need to make it perfectly to simply change a few settings
And i think there would never release the requested update
